One of 500 copies (additionally 35 copies with 5 artist's proofs were printed). Designed by Sebastian Carter, set in Electra type by Goodfellow & Egan and printed by Graphic Impressions. 10 X 6.75 ins. 16 pp including 15 line engravings on copper. Sewn into plain card with printed paper wraps after a design by th artist. Published to celebrate the eighty-fifth birthday of Edward Bawden these 15 little-known line-engravings on copper were executed between 1927 and 1929 mainly for his friends. David McKitterick states, "scarcely any copies were sold, even of the few printed. Bawden's records suggest that no more than 40 at most have been printed of even the most popular". Subjects include "Liverpool Street Station"; "Redcliffe Road" and "London Back Garden" picturing the view from 58 Redcliffe Road, Kensington, where Bawden and Ravilious lived as students and for some time after; "Mount Pleasant Road" which is Bawden's fictionalised name for the street where his parents lived and where he shows them in their back garden; "Kew Gardens" and "The Pagoda, Kew" which later appeared in "Adam and Eve at Kew", 1930; "The Jetty Beach"; "The Round Trip"; "The Pier"; "Marine Parade"; "Reverie" (a Bawden cat); "Tortoise" and "Lane in Moonlight". Sticker removed from back cover and inscription inside front cover, otherwise fine.
