This is one of a number of Swan Press books which carries a presentation label on the front paste-down reading, “In Memory of Michael Heriot Huth Walters”. Michael was the son of the Swan Press proprietors who, following a brilliant beginning at Eton and Cambridge, suffered a fatal heart attack at the age of twenty-five whilst on a Fellowship to Princeton University to carry out his research in astronomy.
