Macnab’s Grosvenor School of Modern Art promoted the original linocut under the tutelage of Claude Flight. Meanwhile, Macnab concentrated on teaching wood engraving. Some of his better known pupils were Gwenda Morgan, Guy Malet, Rachel Reckitt and Tom Chadwick. Macnab himself produced some of the finest independent wood engravings of the 20th century.
