Printed following the success of Douglas Cleverdon’s publication of Gill’s engravings in 1929. Book in fine condition with very light foxing to top edge. Dust-jacket near fine. Slipcase with fading and some marks. Pencil notation on front paste-down reads, “from the Faber Library.” A remarkably bright copy with all tissue guards still in place. Covering the high point of Gill’s wood engraving.
