Title page with red dove by Eric Gill (The Holy Ghost As Dove P224) as well as 6 wood engravings by Gill and 3 by David Jones within text. Loosely inserted a handwritten signed letter on St. Dominic’s Press letterhead referring to Gill’s departure to Wales. Letter reads, “Dear Mr. Porter, Thank you. Yes, Gill went in 1924 – escaped to the Black Mountains. A Happy Christmas (no harm in such a wish now. I suppose I shall not be writing you again) Yours sincerely HDCP Pepler. Also inserted several lists of new books for 1926. A fine copy.
