The Chester Play of the Deluge

London: Clover Hill Editions, 1977.

With a Publisher’s Note by Douglas Cleverdon. Printed by Will Carter at the Rampant Lions Press in 18 pt. Golden Cockerel type designed by Eric Gill. Number 218 of 250 (337) copies printed on Barcham Green mould-made paper. Title page printed in red and black .13.25 X 10.25 ins. 30 pp. Quarter bound in fawn buckram with marbled paper covered boards. Gilt title on spine. 10 full page wood engravings by David Jones printed from the original blocks. David Jones readily agreed to the reprinting of these blocks as, in his estimation, their delicacy had been compromised in the 1927 Golden Cockerel edition when the damping of the hand-made paper had been omitted in order to meet publication date. A fine copy in original dust-jacket.
