Dedicated to Frank Pick (1878-1941) transport manager and key figure in developing London Transport and its image: he commissioned the London Underground typeface from Edward Johnston and the reknowned series of posters by well known artists of the day, including E. McKnight Kauffer. 51 colour plates on recto pages and 174 black and white plates. A near fine copy in its original, rarely-seen dust-jacket which has losses on spine and upper edge.
