London: Longmans Green & Co., 1928.
By Thornton Wilder. Number 87 of 260 copies signed by Wilder and with presentation from Clare Leighton to Stuart Kane on the front free endpaper. 10 x 7.5 ins. 107 pp. Pale blue buckram with gilt spine titling and gilt rule on upper cover. Colour wood engraving by Clare Leighton tipped-in as frontispiece. The only colour wood engraving produced by Clare Leighton in my knowledge. The inscription from the 82 year old artist reads, “For Stuart Kane from Clare Leighton November 16. 1982”. A near fine copy signed by artist and playwright.
