Set in Miller Display type and printed on Gardapat paper. 4to. 11.5 x 11.5 ins. 286 pp. Quarter black cloth with pictorial paper covered boards after a wood engraving by Claughton Pellew. Title on paper spine label. Illustrated throughout in full colour and black and white with tipped-in and folding plates and many photographs. The tipped-in wood engraving on page 8, “Amsterdam”, has been printed from the orinal block. In addition, four large wood engravings hand-printed from the original blocks are gathered in a separate porfolio: “The Return” 1925, “Evening” 1930, “Marsh Marigolds” 1930 and “The Mother” 1931. Book and portfolio of engravings held in a bespoke clamshell case in red buckram with title on paper spine label. As new.
