One of 150 sets only. Accompanied by a booklet – “Claughton Pellew 1890-1966” – set in Monotype Baskerville and Fry’s Baskerville for the headings. Folio. 14.5 X 12.5 ins. 20 pp. Sewn into grey paper wraps with a wood engraving by the artist, printed from a line block, on the upper cover. Loosely inserted 5 large wood engravings printed individually on Zerkall mould-made paper and enclosed in individual card folders with printed titles: “The Return” 1925 (266 X 253 mm.), “The Smithy” 1930 (252 X 201 mm.), “Marsh Marigolds” 1930 (280 X 256 mm.), “The Carol Singers” 1930 (242 X 191 mm.) and “The Mother” 1931 (216 X 255 mm.). Wood Engravings and Booklet presented in a grey buckram covered drop-back box by Smith Settle with white title label and repeat of wood engraving from booklet cover. A fine copy.
