This book was conceived by the artist in August 2010 when she visited the immense gannet rookery at Cape St. Mary’s, Newfoundland which she found, “exciting and profound. The noise, the constant activity, the family dynamics, the territorial dramas, gannets flying so close I could hear their wing beat; it was an experience never to be forgotten. All this in addition to the beauty of those magnificent white birds themselves – how could I resist the urge to draw and engrave them.” As new in silvery-blue cloth drop-back box which holds the matching cloth silverpoint and engraving portfolios. Prospectus loosely inserted.
